Fat Salmon Open Water Swim

The 25th annual NEO Swim Team Fat Salmon Open Water swim will be held on July 26!

This is a 3.2mile race that starts at the Day Street Boat Launch, under the I-90 bridge and ends at Madison Park Beach.

Our volunteers will begin set-up at the north end of the beach park around 5AM and swimmers will arrive for check-in around 6:15. After brief safety announcements, swimmers will head down to the Day Street starting line for an 8:15AM start.  The first swimmers will begin to arrive back at Madison around 9:30am. We'll wrap up by 11AM, after awards announcements and raffle drawing.

(If MP Beach is closed on the 26th due to water quality issues, the race will move to a different site.)

For questions or concerns contact fatsalmonracedir2@gmail.com.  And please feel free to stop by and cheer on our swimmers.

Your Voice Matters!

Join neighbors for a hands-on community meeting about the future of our beloved park — Tuesday May 6th at 7PM at the Bathhouse

  • Learn about the renovation project, share your ideas, and help us develop a shared vision for the Bathhouse and shoreline.

  • We’re still in the earliest phases—gathering community values and understanding key constraints like zoning and feasibility.

  • Hear from expert teams at Signal Architects and Anchor QEA Landscape Architects as they answer questions, review past projects, and give an overview of the challenges and opportunities ahead.

  • Take part in interactive discussions and collaborative activities to ensure the design reflects our community’s values and needs.

McGilvra Elementary School Auction

McGilvra Elementary School Auction

Each year, the McGilvra PTA provides important funding that directly supports our children’s education, specifically the art program, academic tutors, and our math and reading specialist. These programs are critical elements of our children’s education and daily experience at school. The cost of these vital school resources is approximately $1,275 per student. We will not be able to continue to support these programs and positions next school year without financial assistance from our community.  The spring auction is one of our three fundraising initiatives during the year.

McGilvra Elementary School is special – from the dedicated teachers and staff, to the historic building, to the wonderful students and families that make up our Wildcat community.  By donating an auction item, being an event sponsor, or attending the event, you will help ensure the ongoing strength of our special community.

All donations are tax deductible.

Can't attend the auction? Make a donation instead!
